Athea Trial Lawyers

Transforming a nationally recognized law firm's digital presence
Athea Trial Lawyers is a coalition of six nationally acclaimed female trial attorneys with billions in recovered damages for their clients. Their existing site at athealaw.com was built on a traditional CMS with aging HTML structure, limited responsive behavior, and virtually no modern animation or conversion architecture. It failed to reflect the authority, gravitas, and momentum of the firm it represented. The brief was clear: rebuild from zero with a design system that could scale, perform, and compel action — without losing the firm's existing SEO equity.
The Webflow build was architected using the Relume component library and the Client-First naming convention — a scalable CSS class system that enforces consistent spacing, layout, and type hierarchies across every page. This made the project AI-production-ready: Claude was used throughout the workflow to generate component copy, structure CMS schema, and draft Finsweet attribute logic, dramatically cutting build time without sacrificing craft.
On the technical side, GSAP ScrollTrigger powers the hero entrance sequence, section reveals, and stat counter animations — replacing the old site's static, script-free layout with purposeful motion that guides the eye and communicates momentum. Custom JavaScript handles the case results ticker, dynamic attorney filtering, and a performance-optimized lazy-load pattern for above-the-fold imagery. SEO was treated as infrastructure, not an afterthought: semantic HTML5 landmark elements, structured data (LegalService schema), and a clean heading hierarchy were baked into the Webflow Designer from day one.

Credibility-led
The new build delivered measurable structural improvements over the legacy site across performance, accessibility, and conversion architecture — establishing a scalable foundation for ongoing growth.
Client-First compliant CSS architecture with zero naming conflicts
Faster page build velocity using Relume + AI-assisted component generation
Practice area pages fully templated via Webflow CMS for self-serve updates
From static to strategic — a site that works as hard as the attorneys it represents.
Every structural decision on the Webflow build was made in service of two goals: make the firm's record impossible to ignore, and make it effortless for potential clients to take the next step. The old site buried case results in a secondary page with no hierarchy or animation. The new build leads with them — GSAP counter animations on billion-dollar verdicts command attention immediately. The CMS-driven attorney profiles, practice areas, and case results give the firm full editorial control without touching code.
SEO architecture rebuilt from the ground up
Semantic HTML5 landmarks, LegalService JSON-LD schema, clean heading hierarchy (one H1 per page), and a flat URL structure replace the old site's tag-soup markup. Internal linking across practice areas and attorney profiles strengthens topical authority for high-intent keywords like "serious injury attorney" and "wrongful death lawyer."
GSAP animation as a conversion tool
ScrollTrigger-driven stat counters on the hero and case results sections create the sensation of live momentum. Staggered section reveals keep users engaged as they scroll. Motion is restrained and purposeful — no decorative noise, only animations that direct attention toward key CTAs and credibility signals.
